Meet Ashley — Signature Weddings by Ashley

When asked what she loves about her job, Ashley smiles and says “everything.” Ashley had dreamt of becoming a wedding planner since she was in middle school. She began working for Signature Weddings in 2008 and had the immense pleasure of taking over the company three years later in 2011.

Since then, she’s planned and executed hundreds of weddings in the Canadian Rockies. “Watching all of the hard work, meetings, phone calls, emails, and paperwork come together on the day of the wedding is an indescribable pleasure,” Ashley explained. She works hard, but it doesn’t feel like work, because there is nothing in the world she’d rather be doing. For Ashley, every project is a passion project because her weddings are of the utmost meaning to her. “In the short moment right before the bride walks down the aisle, the energy is remarkable. It’s one of the most special moments in my clients’ lives and I get to share it with them.”

Ashley personally sets up her wedding venues, putting thought and care into every tiny detail. When it’s all comes together, she takes a lot of pride in her work and is beyond grateful that her couples and guests get to experience it. Beyond the venues, her weddings are set in a place that means the absolute world to her. “This is my home town and I get to share it with people from all over the world. It doesn’t just give me a chance to show them how special the Rockies are, it also allows me to see the place I grew up in a whole new light.” Thanks to her work, she is constantly re-discovering the place that shaped her.

Ashley has always been extremely organized and detail-driven. Her career plays to her natural strengths while drawing upon her years of hands-on experience. She is a creative individual who loves the arts, good food & wine, and making meaningful connections with people around the world. Ashley is well travelled and loves to get to know people who have stories different from her own. As a former competitive dancer, she adores all things wellness, actively practicing yoga and barre at her local studios. Ashley enjoys skiing, camping, taking road trips, and spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs.

Ashley is fiercely loyal and treats her friends like family. She is quirky, loves to laugh, and has watched “The Wedding Planner” with Jennifer Lopez more times than she can count. She has a keen eye for design and loves bringing together trendy and timeless visuals to build unique weddings that perfectly represent the couples she works with.

More than anything, she cares. She cares about making your day unfold exactly as you’ve always imagined. She cares about building an inviting atmosphere for you and your guests to enjoy your unforgettable wedding. She cares about you, and she makes it her responsibility to care about what matters to you and advocate for you every step of the way.
